Farming was tough in the eighties so I finished college and graduated with a bachelor’s degree to teach high school history, so I know how government should work.
I was a single dad raising a son while I was farming and trucking. I understand perfectly well what it’s like to struggle, trying to make ends meet, working long hours and feeling guilty if I missed school activities.
When my father retired I made the decision to leave farming and move to Missouri where I have worked in the ag industry and recently retired as an over the road truck driver.
I am not a politician, or the son of a politician, or a wealthy person able to buy a congressional seat.
I AM blue collar to the bone.
Like most of you, I am sick and tired of the nonsense in Washington. It seems like the politicians are in constant reelection mode and any work to help the average person gets shoved to the side. Legislation, like massive tax breaks for the wealthy, will get pushed through but everything else flounders.

We need to get back to a working Congress where the politicians have differences over policy, but can still work together to pass legislation that will benefit the entire country. We are at the point where working with the other party is seen as an act of treason, even on something like keeping the government operating. My way or the highway will never lead to solutions to help the working people. We must work together for the good of everyone, not just a wealthy few.
With the problems we’re facing today, do you ever wonder how your kids are going to make it financially? The rich keep getting richer and the poor keep getting poorer. Wealth inequality is absolutely destroying the middle and low-income classes everywhere, including District 8.

There has been a massive transfer of wealth from the middle and lower classes to the top1% because of a tax system that punishes the working people and benefits the rich.
I’m running for office to end wealth inequality and to advocate for the middle and lower classes.
Here are some of the serious problems in District 8 I want to address:
We have to tackle the wealth inequality issue to turn this District around and put more money into the pockets of the working class.
